Me: I hate him.
Nyssa: I *heart* him! Wrote essay on him!
*pause*
But he *is* very boring...

Grace: Unfortunately, Doyle does lose interest in his protagonisthaving never really liked him in the first place and created him for extra CA-CHING! and you'll notice that the later stories lose their spark...they're much more conservative...
Katie: is that true?
Me: *nods sadly*
*scribbles* OTOH, you could pretend that W&S are happily married...

Grace: (on Holmes and Moriaty's OBSESSION with each other)
Me: *scribbling* They are in love!
Katie: *facepalm* I KNEW you would say that...

Grace: (mentions Watson and Holmes driving off in the sunset for romantic shaggingin motorcar in Final Problem)
Me: See? Married!
Katie: *headdesk* YES dear. *looks to heaven in despair*

Conversation to Self in Enlightenment:

Me: John is *obsessed* with Burke
(after ten minutes)
Why not EQUIANO?!
(ten more minutes)
OMG John stopit! stop it! Why did you release us early for Equiano last week but not Burke?! Why? WHY?!

(confesses to having read Equiano but not Burke, since Equiano is the lovable half of 90% final assesment as opposed to the blithering idiot that is CRUSOE, but that is not the point)
