Mar. 22nd, 2005 03:32 pmI have done many silly things today. Silly things include getting up at 8:00 am, then thinking to self "five more minutes" then going to back to sleep for five more minutes. Then once again telling self, "FIVE more minutes." and going back to bed. And so on and so forth until I belatedly realize that it is nine o'clock. Holy bitty black kittens on pumpkins, Batman. Missed breakfast by inch and a half and then ran off to school.
Once at school, I buy absolutely ridiculously expensive chocolate bar ($4.50). I justify this because I have just been paid, and it is "Free Trade" chocolate bar and this is the price all chocolate should be (supposedly)if the farmers who make the chocolate are to get their money's worth of labor at all. It is also a chocolate bar which, about a block away from home, I realize I accidentally left behind somewhere on the way. (It is only by the bestest luck that I found it again by frantically retracing own steps)
It is also, unfortunately, a very yummy dark chocolate bar and all this month, I will be mimicking Charlie of the Chocolate Factory's trick of eating very VERY tiny bits to make it last for as long as I can. CANNOT afford this addiction precious, NO.
ETA correction: FAIR trade. Not free. What were we thinking Precious?
