(no subject)
Mar. 18th, 2007 11:37 amOh ha. I've been dividing sentences into clauses, identifying verbs and noun groups and adverbials and what sort of verbs, noun groups and adverbials they are aaaaalllll day. Well. That's not exactly true, as I ducked out for a swim this afternoon and watched "But I'm a Cheerleader" with Martin and Esther (which was very adorable and cute, sometimes frightening, and reduced me to mush). But still.
Martin tried to fix this by pointing out we could pretend forks were noun groups, spoons were objects and food were verbs and placed on a plate, a subject, we would then have a clause. But all that did was make Esther look at us and ask if we were on Poppy. (Oh, I wish.)
(and I still haven't the foggiest idea of how to write a lesson plan for metaphorical children I haven't even met yet, much less critique it, despite Amanda's best efforts. I kind of like having samples to look at at my leisure and she...puts them up on projection and takes them away once we finish. And I need to write one before April 4. *flails a lot*)Oh well. There will be workshops this week, so maybe...
I need to bake. Baking is therapeutic. Oh, how I have been suckered in into the Cult of Baking. I will be making pizzas next.
On the happy side, I saw scary!migration lawyer last Friday, and he said I had a very chance of getting PR. If law doesn't change. Please don't, law: unless it's to my advantage somehow (in which case, go ahead! ).
